What follows is a list of the twelve signs of the modern zodiac (with the ecliptic longitudes of their first points), where 0° Aries is understood as the vernal equinox, with their Latin, Greek, Sanskrit, and Babylonian names (but note that the Sanskrit and the Babylonian name equivalents denote the constellations only, not the tropical zodiac signs). Also, the "English translation" is not usually used by English speakers. The Latin names are standard English usage.

The Babylonian star catalogs entered Greek astronomy in the 4th century BC, via Eudoxus of Cnidus and others. The Zodiac by no means passed to the north west but also across the Sinai and into Egypt, who already had their animal symbols.  Because the stars of the Ram were crossing the Vernal in the northern climes, the tropical zodiac commenced with RA 00 = Aries. By the 10 th century A.D., the notice of a great shift had occurred. During the 16 th century Nostradamus ignored this, to much public criticism, and just used standard astronomy, overlaying interpretations upon traditions, but relying upon the old star systems and their rulers and revolutions.

Hipparchus 130 B.C. influenced Claudius Ptolemy who in 150 A.D. took out fixed and promoted tropical equal divisions of 30 degrees, although the constellations vary each in size, and Egyptian traditions had only six constellations, rather large and combined two of the modern Zodiacal Constellations. This was done because bullies tend to get Academic positions, and are too dumb to think, so even numbers were created for their convenience, no kiddin'! The idea was to promote and unify a system for control purposes and Ptolemy knew of precession, but as with calendar reformers, many of standard academia, they too had no clue or what to make of precession, so standard models, such as the astronomy and even the Astrology sections of Ptolemy's works related and were worshiped for well over 1,000 years. In reality, the Constellation of the Crab ( Cancer) is way short of 30 degrees. By allowing the bully retards that reincarnate and achieve academia, the idea was to allow them to comprehend in their limited manner, but this destroyed the scientific models much later on, but not during this period. The alignment to the Precessional was close, and was about 100 years per 1 degree, where today, we are some 71.5 of .2 years for one degree and citings in texts associated to the 8 th -10 th centuries even had as short as 60 years for one degree, indicating as the Stone demonstrates as well, precession is not constant, it speeds up, levels out, slows up and slows down considerably, and starts up again, so it is a wave function, still unknown.
